Why are your favorite movies your favorite?
Well, generally people favor things that make them feel a certain way. Most of what we fall for are based of what we hear and see as we grow up– we learn a lot from our parents.
So my favorite movies include thriller, a little bit of scarce, and comedy. My favorite movies are very broad, but I could tell you why I consider some of them are my favorites…
- The Proposal – I would have to say overall the best movies I’ve come across, The Proposal, is my first choice when it comes to favorites. In my opinion, it is evenly a comedy and a drama; a romantic comedy. I was young when I saw this, and absolutely in love with Sandra Bullock. She is someone I really idolize in many ways.
- The Secret Life of Walter Mitty – When I saw this film, I was touched, amazed, and inspired. Everything cinematically to the music to the actors, each moment made me feel glowing. My favorite part is when Walter Mitty was longboarding towards the end of the film. I couldn’t help but smile.
- Janis: Little Girl Blue – Well I would have to say, I love documentaries. But one that I really took an emotional outlook on was this documentary about Janis Joplin. At the time I was getting into Rock, mainly Classic Rock, and then trailed upon her. This Netflix biography of her is impeccable. And very interesting if you enjoy history.
- The Saw Series (I,II,III,IV,V, VI) – All of the Saw films are scary as hell. Gory and beyond, but every one extremely psychological. That’s why I enjoy these thrillers so much. Now knowing me, things scare me easily, but there’s something about this series where I can cringe watching some of the anxious parts, but always get blown away with every cliffhanger at the end. The thrillers I’ve seen I’d be able to guess what will happen, but never with the Saw series.
So, those are just a few of my favorites. I mean there are a ton of comedies I could watch over and over like: Blades of Glory, Baby Mama, Land of The Lost, Click, et cetera. I’m a huge fan of SNL actors.
